Swim in 6 Michigan Masters Meets – Receive a Reward!

Alright, Michigan Masters Swimmers… start your engines and join your Michigan Masters swim friends to compete in the first annual Michigan Masters Grand Prix. A fun opportunity to challenge yourselves and push your limits, track your progress, and be recognized for your unwavering dedication to the sport you love!

What is the Michigan Masters Grand Prix?

It’s your chance to showcase your consistency and love for competitive swimming throughout the Fall and Winter seasons by competing in a minimum of SIX (6) sanctioned Michigan Masters swim meets during the 2025-2026 (not including State Meet). See the tentative schedule below and start planning your meets! We believe every lap, every race, and every meet you attend builds a legacy of dedication, and it’s time to celebrate that!

How Do You Become a Grand Prix Finalist?

It’s simple yet challenging!  All you need to do is compete at a minimum six Michigan Masters meets during the 2025-2026 swim seasons (not including the State Meet in April 2026).  Of the eleven Masters meets, you’re welcome to choose any six or more of them to compete alongside your fellow Masters swimmers. To enter – send an email listing the 6 meets you attended to: Chad Steed, Michigan LMSC Chair at MIChair@usms.org

The Reward for Your Dedication!

As a token of our appreciation for your incredible commitment and accomplishments, every Grand Prix Finalist will be awarded an exclusive, high-quality Steel Water Bottle!  This isn’t just any water bottle; it symbolizes your hard work, enduring spirit, and success in completing the Grand Prix challenge. Carry it with pride to future meets, practices, or wherever your active lifestyle takes you, and let it be a constant reminder of your achievements in the water.  Additionally, all finalists will be automatically entered in a random drawing for a chance to win one of two $50 Swim Outlet Gift Cards (there will be one male and one female winner).  These awards will be presented at our State Championship Swim Meet at the super-fast Oakland University Swimming Natatorium.

All American Swimmers – Recognitions:

What an extraordinary season! We have 27 athletes we will be honoring for earning All-American for the 2024 season. This is truly the pinnacle of achievement in U.S. Masters Swimming, and a direct result of your exceptional talent and unwavering dedication.
To be recognized as an All-American means you achieved the fastest time in the entire country for your age group in a specific event during the 2024 season. This is an incredible feat, as countless Masters swimmers across the nation competed, striving for that top spot. Your ability to not only reach that level but also to maintain it at the end of season is nothing short of phenomenal! The following individuals were recognized at the celebration and we also wanted to share this with our membership. When you see these amazing individuals walking around the pool deck please give them a congratulations! If you received an All American, we have a certificate for you and would like to deliver it to you at a meet. Please reach out to Corrin Buck Vice Chair.
