2026 State Championship Meet

The 51st Annual Michigan Masters State Championship swim meet was held at Oakland University on April 17–19, 2026. The meet was co-hosted by the Oakland University Swimming and Diving team and the Michigan LMSC board. With a SOLD OUT roster of  360 swimmers, this event marked the return of the Michigan State Championship meet at Oakland University. The last State Championship meet held at Oakland University was 1999.  In a State Meet Championship first, there was a celebrity guest meet announcer on Sunday. The 3-time Olympic Gold Medalist and the iconic “Voice of Swimming” Rowdy Gains!

The team competition is broken into Large and Small team divisions. Each year these divisions depend on the number of team members in Men, Women and Combined.

This year in the Large Combined Team division there was tight scoring. BK Training Systems won first place with 2250.50 points, with Milford Athletic Club coming in second with 1,989 points. For the Men’s Large team scores, Doughboy Aquatics won first with 1,089 points and BK Training Systems came in second with 1,028 points. Only 61 points separating them. In the Women’s Large Team scores BK Training Systems won first with 990. 50 points, and Milford Athletic Club 985. 50 points, just 5 points difference!

In the small team division, we had some tight races too. The Small Team Combined,Battle Creek Y Masters won first with 378 points, and Northcoast Masters Swimming came in second with 289 points.  In the Men’s Small Team Scores, first place went to Battle Creek Y Masters with 353 points, and second to Ann Arbor Masters Swimming with  292 points. In the Women’s Small Team Scores, first place went to Northcoast Masters Swimming with 137 points, and second to Michigan Lakeshore Aquatics with 95 points.
