Milford Wins 7th Large Team State Championship
The 47th Annual Michigan Masters State Championships took place at the at Waterford Mott Pool & Fitness Center. Two-hundred and eighty-six swimmers from 27 teams contested the championship from Friday, April 12th until the meet’s conclusion on Sunday, April 15, 2019. The Milford Athletic Club was the host.
The Milford Athletic Club (MAC) won their seventh straight Large Team Combined championship in their eleven-year history. MAC won the Large Team Women’s and Men’s Championships as well. They are the second team in Michigan Masters history to win seven consecutive Combined State Championships. The North Coast Masters Swim Team out of Traverse City won the Small Team Combined Championship. FAST won the Small Team Women’s Championship and Ann Arbor won the Small Team Men’s Championships.
Twenty-eight State LMSC Records (17 women, 11 men) were set during the course of the meet. Additionally, 45 State Championship Meet Records (25 women, 16 men, 4 relays) were set during the course of the meet.
