LOCATION: Mason High School, 1001 South Barnes Street, Mason, MI 48854

FACILITY Mason is an 11 lane pool, with a Colorado Timing System and projector. Up to 8 lanes can be used for competition. The remaining lanes will be used for warm-up and swim down.
RULES AND ELIGIBILITY: Current USMS rules will govern the meet. All participants must be age 18 or older as of the last day of the meet and be currently registered members of U.S. Masters Swimming. Foreign swimmers must provide proof of current membership in their country’s Master Swimming governing body. The length of the competition course without a bulkhead is in compliance and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 107.2.1. The primary timing system will be automated with sound device at the start and swimmer touching the pad at the finish with the time recorded on a scoreboard. Official times from this automated timing system will be submitted for USMS Records and USMS Top Ten times for all courses. For Short/Long Course Meters the time will be submitted to FINA for Masters FINA Top Ten and Masters FINA World Records.
START TIMES: Session 1 warm-up-7:30-7:55am. Session 1 will consist of the first 24 entries received (3 heats of 8 lanes) in the 500 free and 16 entries of the 400 IM. Events will begin at 8:00am. Session 2 warm-up 8:45-9:30am. Events will begin at 9:35am
AGE DETERMINATION DATE: The age for this event is determined by the swimmer’s age on January 7, 2024.

ENTRY DEADLINE: Online entries shall remain open until Friday, January 5, 2024 at 9:00 pm
ENTRY LIMITS: Swimmers may swim a maximum of 5 individual events. 500 Free: 1st 24 entries & 400 IM: 1st 16 entries received are in, you will be called if you are not in. Deck entries for the 500 free and 400 IM are allowed only if there is space.
DAY OF MEET ENTRIES INFO: Day of meet registration will be will be $45. You MUST Bring a copy of your 2024 USMS registration card to the meet. Deck registration will be from 7:30 – 9:00am
SEEDING METHOD: Slow to fast by time (w/o regard to age or gender) for all events except for the 500 yd, and the 1000 yd Freestyle which will be seeded fast to slow.
LOCATION OF HEAT SHEETS: Heat sheets will be posted on the four walls around the pool deck during the meet.
LOCATION OF RESULTS: Results will be posted on the north wall of the pool deck near the entrance during and immediately after the meet.
CONCESSIONS INFO: A variety of meet snacks, fruit, and beverages will be provided by Mason in the hospitality area.
REFUND POLICY: By registering for this swim meet, you have purchased a “ticket”. As with a ticket to any sports or entertainment event, there are no refunds or credits if you are unable to attend.
