Summer Nationals 2024
A small crew of seven athletes traveled from Michigan to Mission Viejo this summer to compete at the summer nationals in late August and placed tied for 7th in the Regional Division.
- Sallie Bartkowiak scored 29 Points by placing 5th in the 200 IM, 6 in the 200 free, 5th in the 800 free, 6th in the 100 free and 4th in the 200 free.
- Suzanne DeVine scored 15 points by placing 5th in the 200 free and the 50 fly placing 2nd.
- Kevin Doak, our top scorer of the meet, earned 44.50 points for Michigan Masters. Kevin was the National Champion in the 50 backstroke!! He also place 3rd in the 50 fly, 6th in the 50 free, 4th in the 100 fly, 5th in 100 free and 3rd in the 100 back. Congratulations National Champion Kevin Doak.
- Nevin Kay scored 9 points placing 5th in the 50 back.
- Tamara Steel scored 35 points with a 4th place finish in the 100 breast, 6th place finish in the 200 IM, 4th place finish in the 50 breast, 4th place in the 400 IM and 2nd in the 200 butterfly.
- Frank Thompson scored 2 points by placing 9th in the 1500 free.
- Karen Younkins placed 5th in the 50 breast, 3rd in the 200 back and 6th and the 50 fly.
